You belong here. Full stop.

I strive to provide a therapeutic space in which all aspects of your life and intersecting identities are affirmed and held without judgment.

I recognize that people with trans and non-cis gender experiences come to therapy with a wide diversity of needs/desires. Psychotherapy can be an excellent place for exploring questions about gender identity or transition, and can also be valuable in helping people process and cope with experiences of bias and non-affirmation. Additionally, I have worked with many trans and nonbinary clients and patients who used therapy to address issues that had little or nothing to do with their gender or transness, and this may be the case for you. Regardless, you deserve a therapist who sees you as you are, is able to be as flexible, open, and dynamic in their understanding of your gender as you need them to be, and already understands some general aspects of the experience of trans and gender diverse people in our society. I think you will find this in me, and not just because I am trans myself. I have multiple years of experience and additional training and supervision in the provision of affirming psychotherapy. Additionally, I have led or participated in multiple research projects about the mental health and mental health needs of trans and nonbinary communities.

I offer individual psychotherapy, as well as no-cost single-session letter-writing appointments for accessing gender-affirming care. You can read more about my services and my practice on my About page.
